Oreck Corporation expands in Connecticut, opening a new Oreck Clean Home Center in West Hartford, adding to more than 450 Oreck Clean Home Centers coast to coast, including three in Connecticut. David Oreck, who founded Oreck Corporation more than 47 years ago and developed the powerful, lightweight Oreck vacuum cleaners, makes a special appearance at the grand opening, 10 am - 1 pm, Friday, Oct. 22, the Oreck Clean Home Center, 326 N. Main Street, Bishop’s Corner mall, West Hartford.
The new Oreck Clean Home Center, West Hartford, is staffed with cleaning specialists and packed with top quality, latest technology products for a cleaner, healthier home.
Grand opening event celebrates October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Oreck Corporation’s support of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world. For every pink-accented Clean for the Cure® special edition Oreck XL bagged vacuum purchased, Oreck donates $25 to Komen for the Cure. To date Oreck Corporation donated more than $1.5 million to Komen for the Cure.
David Oreck, World War II veteran fighter pilot, also announces Oreck’s support of Homes for Our Troops, a national organization that builds specially adapted homes for severely injured veterans.
Everyone is invited to the grand opening to meet David Oreck, entrepreneurial legend and business leader, and get his autograph. Everyone can enjoy refreshments, special discounts and enter a giveaway of an Oreck Platinum Pilot vacuum.
