Too Cute....

OMG these are a must see...I love Etsy and Debbie creates adorable hand painted treats...I received one for my niece that she hand painted with her name and cupcakes. My niece loved it she has all her little jewelry pieces inside and the best part is the dancing ballerina when you open the lid. I remember having a jewelry box like that when I was a kid only mine wasn't personalized or handpainted... Please read below about Debbie and her work and make sure to visit her site. Gift Giving is around the corner these would make for a special gift.

A Child’s Delight by Debbie is owned by Debbie from Nashville, TN and offers personalized hand painted children/baby gifts including canvases, ballerina jewelry boxes, frames, bow holders, piggy banks, art boxes, matchbox car cases and much more!

About the artist:

I started working as an artist for an upscale children’s store about twelve years ago and just loved the work, personalizing and painting images on all sorts of things. I eventually decided to branch out on my own, and I’ve been creating gifts and murals for children ever since. I sell through Etsy and in craft fairs in and around the Nashville area. I paint many different things, including canvas art pieces, room decor accessories, children’s furniture and doll furniture. It’s hard work, but also inspiring, and I feel blessed to be able to do it. It’s so rewarding to see a child’s eyes light up when they get that special gift with their name painted on it. Please check out my Etsy store whenever you need that special personalized gift for a child!
You can find my shop here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/AChildsDelight

Oreck Air Purifier

Oreck Air Purifier

The colder weather is now moving in and that means spending more time inside. This usually means also having to deal with colds and allergies. There also has been an increase in the number of children that have asthma. Adding an effective air purifier can improve the air quality inside your home dramatically. Inside air can have up to five times more pollutants than outdoors, according to the EPA.

The Oreck air purifier attacks potentially harmful particles. With a multi-stage purification system that captures allergens, viruses, bacteria, mold, and germs. This product destroys particles as minute as 0.1 microns, or one thousandth of a human hair. Permanent Helios Shield uses ultraviolet light (UV-A) to eliminate odors and VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

The Oreck air purifier cleans and re-circulates the air in a 12' x 18' room twice every hour. The Truman Cell permanent filter also never needs to be replaced!

Home and health experts recommend using an air purifier 24/7, especially in bedrooms.

A New Day!

This weekend has been a whirlwind.. Yesterday we celebrated my Husbands Grandmothers life. I have to share some of the things I took from the day. First I was amazed how many people came out to pay there respects. I was truly touched by one women who only knew her a short time while she was in the hospital but took time out on a Saturday to pay her respects. Her comment to me after introductions were how much she Cared for her and loved her as a person. Although I was sad I was able to look at the time I had with This Amazing and Classy women. She taught me so much and so many of her values I will keep close to me. For one, Her homemade Mac and Cheese it blows away any gourmet boutique restaurant. Her smile and love for life would brighten any situation. I love how she taught me that life is short and if the laundry is piled high,Leave it and spend time with family and friends. I of course LOVE that one...

I wanted to share this because it's puts into perspective our own life. To enjoy everyday,Never take anything for granted. If you have a loved one who is older spend time with them, listen to their life's stories. I promise you will most likely take something from it and cherish it.

Last but not least. Leave things that don't matter and love the things that do.

The Most Important Things in Life aren't THINGS!

I will always remember you Grandma Lane XO

OOH La La Starlet

Oh the excitement and twists. From a child star to a twisted sole. This book is sure to please. I loved that it kept me interested from start to finish. I loved Mercy's Character I guess the fact of how determined and driven she was and how she over came so many obstacles ( she created) Drama always lurked and followed her.

The Oxycontin,Cocaine and Hollywood obsessed Mercy made me want more. I loved reading about the travels she takes and visualizing each place as I turn the page wanting more. I loved Gabrielle and Juliette. their characters made me sympathize with them. Mary McNamara did a great job! The book was well written and she was able to pull all the characters together,I was honored to be part of the review....

Write another so I have something to look forward to.

GIVEAWAY:

The Fabulous Finds teamed up with Regal Literary we are giving away 3 copies of "The Starlet". Leave a comment answering this question

Move over Patti...

Move over Patti Stanger (Millionaire Matchmaker) there's a new girl in town and she will Rock your world...After meeting Hattie I loved her concept right from the start. Hattie has created a dating service like no other. One with class, creative flair and the pressure compressed by amazing and one of a kind events. I wish her the best of luck with her business and if you are single go to her site The Grace List and sign up...Who knows you could meet Mr or Mrs. Right... More information below..

the~grace~list Takes us Back to the Basics: From Social Media to SOCIALizing

NEW YORK, NY (June 14, 2010) – Living in an era where electronic communication is the main portal used for interaction and fostering new and old relationships, it sometimes leaves those looking for love wondering what happened to old-fashioned courtship? There is no doubt the dating scene has changed dramatically in the last decade, in-person dating often only transpires after a stringent cyber-based prescreening. Consequently, the~grace~list, a membership-based singles events company focused on socializing and in-person interacting, reinstates the value of traditional “back to the basics” dating.

the~grace~list follows the model that the best way to meet someone is through a friend or a referral and with no substitute for face-to-face interaction. It’s nearly impossible to identify a “connection” with someone online. Having realized the need for in-person contact, single New Yorker and Company Founder, Hattie Grace Elliot, decided to go from social media to socializing. In November 2008, she launched Save the Date(ing) – a social networking group for her single friends (and friends of friends), where, unlike online dating, the emphasis was on socializing and meeting people in person at unique monthly events. Save the Date(ing) quickly turned into a full time job for Elliot, and only months after opening its doors in New York, Save the Date(ing) successfully expanded to Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Washington D.C., creating its own niche in the overcrowded dating industry. This year the company experienced such dramatic growth that Elliot felt it was time to change the image of the company to reflect the high quality service being provided, as well as its esteemed members, and on June 1st Save the Date(ing) was transformed into the~grace~list.

“After experiencing tremendous expansion across five cities this past year, we decided to rebrand and rename the company the~grace~list, says Elliot. “the~grace~list is a play on my middle name, Grace, and the fact that when forging and maintaining relationships, I believe there is nothing more important than handling oneself with grace and being gracious. We are thrilled with the new name and feel that it wholeheartedly embodies the growth and new found maturity of the brand.”

the~grace~list members gather at monthly events like Architecture Tours, Whisky Tastings, Cooking & Mixology Classes, Pizza Making 101, Paint Your Own Pollock, Squash Clinics, Etiquette Dinners, Sailing Lessons, Surfing Classes, etc, where in a focused and lively setting the singles engage in genuine conversations with equally high caliber individuals who share the same objective. As the membership has grown beyond the~grace~list’s directors’ immediate circles, all perspective members are screened personally by Elliot and the respective regional director to ensure they would be a good fit for the group.

“One reason our events have been so successful is because people know that all attendees have been personally vouched for since our membership has grown organically through friends and personal referrals,” Hattie Grace Elliot explains. This “back to basics” approach minimizes awkwardness and allows singles to mix and mingle comfortably. New members pay a membership fee of $250 in addition to an a la carte fee for each event they attend. All events host a uniform ratio of men to women, evening the playing field.

For more information or to inquire about a membership please visit www.thegracelist.com.

Everyone loves a deal!

New Local Deal Discovery Service Aggregates the Largest Number

of Local Deals on the Web

The Dealmap™ also gives consumers easy access to popular daily deals with listings

from nearly 100 local daily deal sites

May 11, 2010 – MENLO PARK, CA – The Dealmap (http://www.thedealmap.com), the most comprehensive source for consumers to find and share local deals, today announced the public launch of its service. Available now throughout the U.S. and U.K., The Dealmap aggregates more than 300,000 local deals on its website, and allows consumers to sign up for daily deal emails and deal alerts via Twitter in more than 20 cities. As part of today’s product launch, The Dealmap has also published publicly available APIs for its unique local deal data which developers can access from its website. Six launch partners have already signed up to use these APIs to integrate The Dealmap's content to enhance their services.

The Dealmap cuts through the maze of paper coupons, e-mail newsletters and stacks of newspaper ads to help consumers easily find local deals, coupons and discounts that appeal to their personal interests, all in one place. People will find deals for businesses in their neighborhood ranging from offers from national sources like Restaurant.com, Citysearch and Merchant Circle, to deals from social media sources like Foursquare and Twitter, to the largest collection of popular daily deals, and even unadvertised, previously hard-to-find deals from individual merchants. By aggregating the largest number of deals from local businesses, providing powerful browsing and filtering functionality, and including game-like incentives and rewards, The Dealmap makes finding and sharing deals fun, useful and rewarding. Owned and operated by Center’d Corp., The Dealmap also integrates content and technology from the popular Center’d® site, including aggregated and summarized data from consumer reviews about local businesses to help consumers find deals based on their interests.

“The confluence of consumer demand for local deals, location-based services and social media presents a very large market opportunity, and we are well positioned to capitalize on these trends,” said Jennifer Dulski, co-founder and chief executive officer of Center’d. “Our local expertise, combined with our ability to integrate hundreds of partners, has enabled us to create an exciting and intuitive way for people to find and share great local deals.”

In the coming weeks, the Dealmap will also launch an iPhone application, enhancing the benefits of the service by allowing consumers access to the largest number of local deals where ever they are.

Bringing Hard-to-Find Deals Online

In addition to aggregating local deals from the largest number of existing sources, The Dealmap aims to make previously hard-to-find deals easily discoverable. Many such deals are not actively advertised and are only promoted at local businesses themselves. The Dealmap makes it easy for both businesses and consumers to add deals for free, and will make this functionality available on its soon-to-be-released mobile applications as well. To make submitting deals and using the site fun and competitive for consumers, The Dealmap has created game-like features and rewards. People can attain status levels, collect badges, and even receive free gift certificates by becoming “Deal Heroes” and submitting deals that help others save money. Businesses who submit deals can instantly gain distribution throughout The Dealmap network, including its website, social media applications, emails, partner sites, and future mobile applications.

Largest Local Deal Source Available to Developers

In conjunction with the launch of its service, The Dealmap has created publicly available APIs that enable developers to add unique local deal content to their sites or applications for free. The APIs allow developers to search for deals, businesses and locations, and to submit deals. A number of partners, including WHERE, AmericanTowns, BigTent, Drinksin, eviesays.com and Wantsa, have already signed up to use The Dealmap APIs to integrate local deal content into their respective services. Each company will highlight different use cases for the content, through a variety of mediums with different audiences, demonstrating the broad appeal of the content. More information on the APIs, including documentation and discussion boards, can be found at http://www.thedealmap.com/api.

“Having a number of companies already using our content is a great validation, and I’m excited to see what types of innovative applications other entrepreneurial developers create using our unique content and APIs,” said Chandu Thota, co-founder and chief technology officer of Center’d. “The scalable technology platform we’ve created for processing, matching and managing enormous amounts of local data has enabled us to bring a category-leading product and API to market very quickly,”

About The Dealmap

The Dealmap (www.thedealmap.com) is the most comprehensive source for savvy consumers to find and share the hottest local deals, all in one place. The Dealmap aggregates the largest number of local deals on the Web from the largest number of sources, and makes previously hard-to-find deals available to consumers when and where they want them through its website and social applications, and its daily email. The site showcases discounts of up to 90% off multiple business categories, including restaurants, attractions, hotels, spas, salons, entertainment, shops and more. Using Center’d SentimentAnalysis™, The Dealmap also integrates detailed insights about local businesses, giving people the information they need to make better local purchasing decisions. Consumers and businesses can submit offers directly to the The Dealmap website.

The Dealmap is owned and operated by Center’d Corporation, a local search and discovery company that organizes and distributes unique content based on its SentimentAnalysis technology. Headquartered in Menlo Park, California, Center’d is led by former Microsoft and Yahoo! executives, and is funded by Norwest Venture Partners and KeyNote Ventures.
